Responsible Gambling at Dokterjudi

Gambling on dokterjudi is designed to be an entertaining experience. We want every Malaysian player to enjoy our platform safely — which means having the right tools, the right information, and the right support available whenever they need it.

This platform is strictly for adults aged 21 and above. No exceptions.

Our Approach to Responsible Gambling

Dokterjudi takes responsible gambling seriously — not as a legal checkbox, but as a genuine operational commitment. We know that for the vast majority of our members across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, and beyond, betting and casino gaming is a form of entertainment. Our job is to keep it that way.

Gambling problems affect a small but meaningful proportion of players worldwide, and Malaysia is no exception. The signs are not always obvious — problem gambling can develop gradually, and many people affected by it continue to appear in control. That is why we have built a comprehensive set of responsible gambling tools directly into the dokterjudi platform, and why we make it straightforward — not difficult — to use them.

We also maintain a strict minimum age of 21 years for all account registrations. Every new member undergoes identity and age verification as part of our KYC process. We do not permit exceptions, and accounts where underage use is suspected are immediately suspended pending investigation.

If you ever feel that gambling is no longer fun — if it is causing stress, affecting your finances, or creating tension in your relationships — please use the tools available on this page. They are free, confidential, and effective. Asking for support is not a sign of weakness. It is the right call.

⚠ Gambling is not a way to make money. Every game on dokterjudi — whether it is a slot, live baccarat table, or EPL accumulator — carries a house edge or bookmaker margin. Over time, the statistical outcome for most gamblers is a net loss. Gambling should be funded from disposable entertainment budget only — never from rent, food money, loans, or credit.

✓ Responsible gambling means: Setting a budget before you play and sticking to it. Treating losses as the cost of entertainment. Taking regular breaks. Never chasing losses. Keeping gambling separate from your personal and financial life. And knowing when to stop.

Quick Responsible Gambling Checklist

  • ✓ I am 21 years of age or older
  • ✓ I am gambling with money I can afford to lose
  • ✓ I have set a session time and spending limit today
  • ✓ I understand the games I am playing have a house edge
  • ✓ I will stop playing if I reach my set loss limit

Tools Available to Every Dokterjudi Member

All responsible gambling tools are built into your account settings and are free to use. You do not need to speak to anyone to activate them — they are self-service and immediate.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once your limit is reached, further deposits will be declined until the period resets. Reducing a deposit limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period before it activates.

Session Time Limits

Define a maximum session duration before you start playing. When you reach your set limit, the platform will display a prominent reminder and prompt you to take a break. You can choose to continue or to log out — the decision stays with you, but the reminder is there.

Reality Checks

Receive automatic pop-up notifications at regular intervals — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes — showing your net gaming position for the current session. This keeps your awareness of time and money spent accurate, without relying on subjective perception during play.

Cool-Off Periods

Take a temporary break from gambling without committing to full self-exclusion. Cool-off periods of 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 1 week, or up to 6 weeks are available. During a cool-off period, you cannot deposit or place bets. The period cannot be shortened once activated.

Self-Exclusion

Request to exclude yourself from dokterjudi for a defined period — 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or permanently. Self-exclusion is irreversible for its full duration and cannot be lifted early under any circumstances. During exclusion, your account is locked and deposits are blocked. Your account balance is returned upon exclusion activation.

Loss Limits

Set a maximum amount you are willing to lose over a defined period — daily, weekly, or monthly. When your net loss reaches this threshold, further gameplay is automatically suspended until the period resets. This tool is particularly effective for players who find it difficult to stop during losing runs.

How to activate your tools: Log in to your dokterjudi account, navigate to Account Settings, and select the Responsible Gambling section. All tools are available there without requiring you to contact support. If you need assistance activating any tool, our support team is available 24/7 via live chat.

Recognising the Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling does not always look dramatic. It can develop slowly and quietly. Many people affected continue to hold jobs, maintain relationships, and appear outwardly fine — even as gambling begins to cause real harm beneath the surface.

The following warning signs are worth taking seriously — both for yourself and for people you care about. A single sign does not necessarily indicate a problem, but a pattern across several of these areas deserves honest attention.

If you recognise multiple signs in yourself, please use the self-exclusion tool in your dokterjudi account settings or contact one of the support organisations listed further down this page. Early intervention makes recovery significantly more straightforward.

You do not have to wait until things feel out of control before seeking help. The support organisations listed on this page are available to anyone who has concerns about their gambling behaviour — at any stage.

1
Chasing losses — continuing to bet in an attempt to recover money already lost, often escalating the amounts wagered.
2
Gambling with money you cannot afford to lose — using funds set aside for rent, bills, food, or other essential expenses.
3
Borrowing money to gamble — taking personal loans, using credit cards, or borrowing from family and friends specifically to fund gambling activity.
4
Inability to stop or cut down — making repeated unsuccessful attempts to limit gambling activity, or feeling restless and irritable when not gambling.
5
Neglecting responsibilities — gambling interfering with work performance, family commitments, or personal health and self-care.
6
Concealing gambling activity — hiding the extent of gambling from family members or partners, feeling the need to lie about time or money spent.
7
Gambling as emotional escape — using betting or casino games primarily to relieve stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or boredom rather than for entertainment.
8
Increasing wager sizes over time — needing to bet progressively larger amounts to achieve the same level of excitement or engagement, indicating growing tolerance.

Quick Self-Assessment

The questions below are adapted from widely used responsible gambling assessment frameworks. They are not a clinical diagnosis, but they are a useful starting point for honest self-reflection.

Think about your gambling activity over the past 12 months when answering. Answer honestly — no one else will see your responses. If you answer "yes" to three or more questions, we encourage you to use the responsible gambling tools in your account or contact a support organisation.

Important: Answering yes to several of these questions does not mean you have a severe gambling problem. It does mean that taking a closer look at your gambling habits is a worthwhile step — and that is always the right move to make.

Q1
Have you ever gambled with money that was needed for living expenses, bills, or other important financial commitments?
Q2
Have you ever tried to stop, cut back, or control your gambling but found it difficult or impossible to do so?
Q3
Have you ever felt restless, irritable, or anxious when you tried to reduce or stop gambling?
Q4
Have you ever gambled as a way to escape from personal problems, stress, or negative feelings?
Q5
After losing money gambling, have you returned another day to try to win back what you lost?
Q6
Have you ever lied to family members, friends, or colleagues about the amount of time or money you spend gambling?
Q7
Has gambling ever caused serious financial difficulties — including debt, borrowing money, or selling possessions?
Q8
Has gambling ever negatively affected your relationships, work performance, or ability to meet your daily responsibilities?

If you answered yes to 3 or more: Consider using the self-exclusion or cool-off tool in your dokterjudi account settings, or reach out to one of the support organisations listed below. Speaking to someone early makes a real difference.

Dokterjudi's Ongoing Commitments

Our responsible gambling programme is not a static document. We continuously review and improve our approach based on industry best practices, member feedback, and emerging research on gambling harm prevention.

The commitments listed here are operational — not aspirational. They describe what we actually do, not what we intend to do someday.

We believe that a healthier gambling culture is better for everyone: players enjoy the experience more, families are better protected, and the platform builds the long-term trust that makes sustainable growth possible. Responsible gambling is not at odds with running a good gaming business — it is essential to it.

For parents and guardians: If you are concerned that a minor in your household may have accessed the dokterjudi platform, please contact our support team immediately. We take underage access extremely seriously and will act promptly to investigate and close any account where underage use is confirmed.

Mandatory 21+ Age Verification on Every Account

We verify the age of every member using government-issued identification as part of our KYC process. Accounts are restricted to withdrawal-only access until identity and age verification is successfully completed. Suspected underage accounts are suspended immediately.

Accessible, Frictionless Responsible Gambling Tools

We deliberately design our responsible gambling tools to be easy to find and activate — not buried in menus. We do not impose waiting periods on limit reductions or self-exclusion requests. We make it simpler to restrict your account than to increase your limits.

Proactive Behaviour Monitoring

Our platform monitors for patterns that may indicate gambling-related distress — such as significant increases in deposit frequency, chasing behaviour following large losses, or late-night session patterns. Where such patterns are detected, our team may proactively reach out to the member.

Responsible Gambling Messaging Across the Platform

Responsible gambling reminders are displayed on the dokterjudi platform, on deposit screens, and throughout promotional materials. We include a 21+ reminder and responsible gambling message on all marketing communications. We do not target advertising at individuals who have opted out of marketing or who have used responsible gambling tools.

Staff Training on Responsible Gambling

All customer-facing dokterjudi team members receive training on responsible gambling awareness, including how to identify signs of distress in member interactions, how to sensitively raise the topic of responsible gambling with members who may need guidance, and how to facilitate access to support resources.

Play Smart. Play Safely.

Dokterjudi is built for entertainment. Use our responsible gambling tools to keep it that way — and remember, support is always available if you need it. 21+ only.
